This isn’t the first time, nor the second time, we’ve written the words ” Norman Reedus and Sean Patrick Flanery returning for new ‘The Boondock Saints’ movie.” Back in 2021, there were rumblings Troy Duffy, creator of the original film and it’s sequel, was in process on a third film. At the time, it was widely reported the film would see the return of Reedus and Flanery.
Well, it’s 2024, and that project never happened. Today’s news, however, is that a third film is well and truly being developed, with the original stars set to return. Duffy will not.
According to the usual sources, Thunder Road and Dragonfly Films are launching a new sequel. The original Saints will reportedly “train a new generation of vigilantes.”
That’s sort of all anyone knows thus far.
We’ll let you know what we hear about this and other news.
