    Official Trailer for “Star Wars: The Acolyte” Hits

    We’ve been looking forward to this trailer for quite some time. Set during the High Republic of the galaxy far, far away, the next live-action “Star Wars” series coming to Disney+ later this year is “The Acolyte.” This is at least 100 years before the action in the “Star Wars” prequel trilogy.

    This poster that was released yesterday is perhaps one of the more chilling images from the franchise- a bloody lightsaber.

    Leslye Headland created the show, which stars Amandla Stenberg, Jodie Turner-Smith , Lee Jung-Jae, Charlie Barnett,  Rebecca Henderson, Dean-Charles Chapman, Dafne Keen, and Carrie-Anne Moss.

    As far as story goes, we know a former Padawan (Stenberg) will reunite with her Jedi Master (Jung-Jae) to investigate a series of crimes, but the forces they confront are more sinister than they ever anticipated. 

    “Star Wars: The Acolyte” will hit Disney+ June 4th, 2024 with two episodes.
