    Pauly Shore Plays Richard Simmons in Short Film

    Perhaps you’ll recall a time when Richard Simmons was all over the airwaves. The energetic fitness enthusiast had one goal- to get Americans off their butts and into loving themselves. Yes, Simmons had a lot of ups and downs in his life and career, but he was, for the most part, a symbol of positivity.

    Comedian Pauly Shore said in NUMEROUS interviews across 2023 that he really, really wanted to play Simmons in a project. He pitched it up and down Los Angeles, and apparently, someone finally took him up on the idea.

    A teaser has been released for a short film called “The Court Jester,” in which Shore plays Simmons.

    Shore leads a cast including Jesse Heiman, Tamra Brown, Benji Aflalo, Ronan Arthur, Alyce Saad, Jake Lewis, Austin Gelfman, Dawn Krantz, Michele Fried, Kore Black, and Cooper Shine. Jake Lewis wrote and directed the short, which you can watch the teaser for below.
