Disney Cruise Line previously announced the launch of the Disney Treasure, a new ship that brings its iconic theme park attractions to life. The company updated this announcement to include the beloved Haunted Mansion as will be one of these attractions!

It will join the previously confirmed Jungle Cruise-themed lounge called the Skipper Society. Along with the Periscope Pub, a fun take on the classic 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea: Submarine Voyage attraction.

    Grim Grinning Ghosts and Drinks!

The Haunted Mansion Parlor is considered the “next chapter” of Haunted Mansion lore. It will tell the story of a captain who entered the ghostly realm following a tragic dinner with his fiancée.

The design pulls themes directly from Walt Disney‘s original 1969 Disneyland version of the ride, including purple wallpaper, a mantel clock, a distinct “Donald Duck” chair. All of this is tied together by a custom musical arrangement by Shruti Kumar inspired by the ride’s iconic theme.

Since Disney Cruises rarely does anything half-heartedly, this will be a fully immersive experience down the drinks served. The parlor will offer an array of “spirited” cocktails since Disney also can’t resist a good pun.

Some of these drinks include the “Sympathetic Libation,” a zero-proof (non-alcoholic) margarita, that harmonizes blood orange and sour cherry flavors. “Ghoulish Delight,” a purple drink that mixes ube-flavored fudge, oat milk, tapioca pearls, and topped off with a gummy eyeball. But the pièce de résistance has to be the specialty black margarita, which contains a special message only visible by UV light.

The Haunted Mansion Parlor is coming to the Disney Treasure in December 2024. You can book a cruise or just find out more about the ships here.
