“The Boys” spinoff series “Gen V” has been renewed for another season at Prime Video. Guess we’re in for another year at Godolkin University, the college setting for the series. The streamer confirmed the renewal just a few weeks ahead of the first season finale.

“Expanding the universe of ‘The Boys‘ with a series as bold as ‘Gen V‘ has been an incredible journey for us and our wonderful partners at Sony,” head of television at Amazon MGM Studios, Vernon Sanders, said. “From our first conversation with showrunners Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters, along with [executive producers] Eric Kripke, Evan Goldberg, and Seth Rogen, we knew ‘Gen V‘ would bush the boundaries.” Sanders noted the series is number 1 on Prime in over 130 countries.

The spinoff is set at superhero-only college, Godolkin University, where students train to be the next generation of heroes. An incoming group of students discover some sinister things going on at the school. Now they must decide if they will be the hero or the villain of their stories. Honestly it sound like “Sky High,” but for adults.

“We couldn’t be happier to make a second season of ‘Gen V,'” Fazekas and Kripke said. “These are characters and stories we’ve grown to love, and we are thrilled to known people feel the same! The writers are already working on the new season – sophomore year is gonna be wild, with all the twists, heart, satire, and exploding genitalia you’ve come to expect from the show.”

3 seasons of “The Boys” are available to stream on Prime Video, with a 4th season already confirmed. “Gen V” stars Jaz Sinclair, Chance Perdomo, Lizzie Broadway. Shelley Conn, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, Asa Germann, and more. The season finale is scheduled to air on Prime on November 3rd, 2023.
