Universal Studios has released the name for their year-round Las Vegas based horror attraction, Universal Horror Unleashed. The attraction will be combining Universal’s extensive horror knowledge with cutting-edge immersive experiences. This year-round version of Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights will surely be fun for horror fans from all over.

AREA 15 is expanding by 20 acres, and Universal Horror Unleashed will be the central focus. The project is expected to be complete within the next six months, as expressed by AREA 15 CEO Winston Fisher. Of the 413,000 square feet, the Universal facility will take up 110,000 square feet. Universal Horror Unleashed will host three extensive haunted house attractions, along with dining and shopping options.
This attraction is set to cater to the desires of Universal’s horror enthusiasts. It also aims at piquing the interests of those seeking a more intense form of entertainment. They are seeking to create the same atmosphere as their Halloween Horror Nights event for their theme parks. The event is currently operating in its 32nd year with both parks featuring iconic horror brands owned by NBCUniversal.
With Universal having the rights to many horror franchises, we can’t wait to see who will be featured at this new attraction. We can definitely see the classic Universal Monsters holding a fixture in the attraction. Who wouldn’t want to pay homage to the creatures that helped build the foundation for modern horror?
“Universal Horror Unleashed is another way we are using our unique style of horror storytelling to engage fans of this genre,” Universal Destinations & Experiences President, Page Thompson said. “WE look forward to bringing this frightful fun to Las Vegas year-round.”
There is no set date for the attraction to open. We will report further, once more details are released.
