Singer/actress Taylor Swift was spotted at another NFL game on Sunday night. This time, the buzz wasn’t focused on a possible romance between her and Kansas Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. This time, it was about her possible appearance in the upcoming “Deadpool 3” as a certain dazzling mutant.
Swift arrived at MetLife Stadium alongside Hugh Jackman, Sophie Turner, Shawn Levy, Ryan Reynolds, and Blake Lively. While a group of celebrities hanging out together is far from uncommon, the fact that practically all of them have a connection to “Deadpool 3” is what has everyone so worked up. Levy is directing the upcoming feature film. Jackman will be reprising his role as Wolverine, With Reynolds playing the titular Merc With a Mouth. Turner played Jean Grey in the revamped “X-Men” films.
We’d like to remind readers that Reynolds already used a pregancy announcement with wife Lively to tell fans the film had begun shooting in secret. Not to mention the character of Deadpool is known for playing games and dropping clues for elaborate jokes/pranks. You know, like all the mocking of Wolverine that has now lead to the resurrection of the character? So this being an announcement is odd but plausible.
Fancasting has long wanted Swift to play Dazzler. We mean, come on, look at her!
But it could just be a cameo or a non-superpowered character. Swift has already begun to branch out into acting with several roles including 2019’s “Cats” and 2022’s “Amsterdam.” So the MCU could just be a new relm to concur, only time will tell.
