    “Batman” 35th Anniversary Concert Tour Coming Next Year

    Next year marks the 35th anniversary of Tim Burton’s “Batman” (1989). DC Comics and Warner Bros. Pictures is celebrating with screenings of the film backed by a live orchestra. This will be the first addition to the planned DC in Concert series.

    In this series of anniversary screenings, audiences will watch “Batman” starring Michael Keaton and Jack Nicholson, while a live symphony performs Danny Elfman’s score for the film. Fans are encouraged to come in costume, and there will be autograph opportunities and merchandise at these showings.

    The score for “Batman” was the beginning of a long partnership between composer, Elfman and director, Burton. It also gave Elfman undeniable clout as a composer, with the score still being beloved by many fans. While the movie itself can be polarizing in terms of reception.

    While the “Batman”  DC in Concert tour will mostly be focused on North America. There will also be international showings in London and Paris.

    • 01/19 – Washington, DC at Warner Theater
    • 01/20 – Tampa, FL at Straz Center
    • 01/21 – Jacksonville, FL at Florida Theatre
    • 01/27 – San Antonio, TX at Majestic Theater
    • 02/02 – Atlanta, GA at Cobb Energy Center
    • 02/03 – Conway, AR at Reynolds Hall
    • 02/24 – Flint, MI at Whiting Auditorium
    • 03/02 – Newark, NJ at NJPAC
    • 03/09 – Orlando, FL at Dr. Phillips Hall
    • 03/30 – Portland, OR at Keller Auditorium
    • 04/27 – Kansas City, MO at Kansas City Music Hall
    • 05/24 – Paris, FR at Le Grand Rex
    • 05/26 – London, UK at Barbican Center

    Pre-sale tickets open up on Wednesday, September 13th at 10:00 AM via Ticketmaster when you use the code STUDIO. General sales will begin Friday, September 15th.
