We all know how fun it is to see a concert. Especially of orchestrated pieces we know. John Williams playing at the Hollywood Bowl is always a fun an engaging experience. But seeing a film with a live orchestra providing the soundtrack has become a popular event in recent years. And it’s obvious why. There’s nothing more robust than the orchestra being physically there. Which is why DC In Concert has put together The Batman Tour.
Previously, DC In Concert has done live scores of 1989 “Batman.” Directed by Tim Burton, the film’s unforgettable score composed by Danny Elfman would go on to provide the iconic theme for the caped crusader for years to come. Recently, “Justice League” was the next movie to receive the live orchestra treatment. Even if the film isn’t necessarily stellar, the experience of being enrobed in the score can often uplift it completely and make for a hugely enjoyable experience.
The Batman Tour has launched to bring viewers Matt Reeves’ “The Batman.” Reeves took a crack at the Batman franchise after Christopher Nolan’s films, and Zach Snyder‘s take. Such popular IP will always have filmmakers clamoring to reinvent it. With a score by Michael Giacchino, this is an event you won’t want to miss. Tickets are on sale for the event which will make a stop in several major cities around the world.
The tour makes its way to the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles April 15th, 2023. This is a one night only event, so be sure to get yours now! You can also visit DC In Concert’s website for details on what films are in their lineup for 2023.
