Steven E. Gordon, animator extraordinaire as well as character designer for “X-Men: Evolution,” is doing a panel at Long Beach Comic Con (LBCC) this weekend. Gordon will be joined by writer Craig Kyle and director Frank Paur at 5pm on September 2nd. Fans of “X-Men: Evolution” and “X-23” definitely won’t want to miss out on this.
This sounds like the opportunity of a lifetime for anyone attending LDCC. “X-Men: Evolution” is one of the best animated series to come from the early 2000s. To hear from the man who worked on the art/animation for the show sounds exciting. I can’t even begin to list all of the questions I would have, if I could attend. I still absolutely love the show and have frequent rewatches. The animation and storylines still hold up, nearly 20 years since the show ended.
On Sunday at 12pm, Gordon will be on a another panel. That will about making “Mark of Death” graphic novel with writers Elle Leon Nostas and Andrew Penczner. He will also have a both at LDCC, he will be selling prints, original artwork, and taking commissions. Having some of Gordon’s artwork is sure to make any space awesome.
LBCC takes place Saturday and Sunday, September 2nd-3rd at the Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center. Saturday’s hours will be from 10am to 6pm. Sunday’s hours will be from 11am to 5pm. The official panel list and schedule for LBCC has not been released yet.
