[SDCC 2023] “Harley Quinn” Season 4 Trailer Hits

During SDCC, MAX released a trailer for the fourth season of “Harley Quinn,” and there is a lot to unpack. Harley, like most adults, is struggling to find a good work-life balance. The other main conflict is how her new position as a hero is putting a strain on her relationship with Ivy. Ivy is still rocking the badass villain life, something the trailer shows Harley is missing fiercely.

The trailer offers some excellent shots of how the “BatFam” are handling Gotham with Harley as a new member. Seeing Harley in a Bat Cape and trying to adhere to the “Caped Crusader’s” code is nothing short of hilarious. The progressive sign of their values ending with “We DON’T Kill People” really adds a nice comedic touch.

Just like with the season 3 trailer, Harley takes a moment to address the viewers before the actual trailer starts. Harley gives a brief overview of what to expect this season, including more Bane…..being Bane. There are also promises of more drama and even more of Harley and Ivy’s relationship. Viewers are even accused of being obsessed with the couple, which I mean that at least applies to me.

Kaley Cuoco voices Harley, with Lake Bell as Poison Ivy (as well as Cheryl, Barbara Kean, and Britney Bionic). Other voice performers include Alan Tudyk, Matt Oberg, James Wolk, Natalie Morales, Chris Diamantopoulos, James Adomian, Jim Rash, Vanessa Marshall, Janet Varney, Rachel Dratch, Leila Birch, Tyler James Williams, Josh Helman, Casey Wilson, and Michael Ironside.

Going through the trailer, you can’t help but noticed the parallel of Lex Luthor to real world billionaires. Luthor’s choice to go into space in a rocket that looks extremely phallic, just screams typical billionaire activity. His choice of asking Ivy to take over leading the Legion of Doom is surprising, but I am here for the girlboss move.

Season 4 of “Harley Quinn” will premiere July 27th, exclusively on MAX.
