FX’s award-winning series“Reservation Dogs” is coming back for the third and final season. A newly released official trailer shows the four friends coming home from their California trip. Created by Sterlin Harjo and Taika Waititi, the series follows four Indigenous teens living on a reservation in rural Oklahoma as they process the death of their friend.

As the teens (Devery Jacobs, D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai, Paulina Alexis, and Lane Factor) make their way back home from achieving their dead friend’s dream of seeing California, they split up. Bear (Woon-A-Tai) travels the desert with an older guide, as the others deal with the consequences of leaving the reservation without telling anyone.
With the announcement that this 10-episode season would be the last, Harjo assured fans the third season would be the perfect finale. “I always knew what the end of this story would be, I just didn’t know when it would arrive,” Harjo said back in June.
“Reservation Dogs” season 3 premieres on FX on August 2nd, with new episodes streaming on Hulu the following day. You can also catch the first two seasons on Hulu.
