Singer/actress Rebbeca Marie Gomez, also known as Becky G, has officially joined the voice cast of Warner Bros. Pictures’ upcoming “Blue Beetle” movie. This project will be a family adventure film based on the DC Comics character.

“Blue Beetle” will center around Jaime Reyes (Xolo Maridueña), and his titular alter ego. Reyes is a recent college graduate who unexpectedly finds an ancient relic of alien biotechnology, known as the Scarab. The Scarab chooses Reyes to be its symbiotic host, which gives him an incredible suit of armor capable of extraordinary and unpredictable powers. Forever changing his destiny.

Gomez will be voicing the character of Khaji-Da, who imbues and controls the Scarab. She posted a video to social media confirming her role on Monday, which includes a bit of a teaser for the character. She will be joining the already-confirmed cast of Adriana Barraza as Nana, Damián Alcázar as Alberto Reyes, and Raoul Max Trujillo as Conrad Carapax. Bruna Marquezine will play Jamie’s love interest, Penny.  Belissa Escobedo is cast as Milagros, Jamie’s younger sister. Along side Susan Sarandon as Victoria Kord, Harvey Guillén as Dr. Sanchez, George Lopez as Uncle Rudy Reyes, and others.
