    McDonald’s Reveals McNugget-Shaped Hand-Held Tetris

Any millennials out there remember when the toys from McDonald’s were legit? More than just a little plastic toy? Some of them were actual handheld games. Sure, they were incredibly simple and were usually one game. BUT IT WAS COOL.

Well, McDonald’s is bringing back the novelty hand-helds, with a chicken McNugget-shaped Tetris game. We’re going full retro with this one.

The Tetris nugget is featured on the cheapest LCD scale. Just a simple black and white screen, with simple buttons. Up, down, left, and right, power, sound, reset. The nugget shape itself seems to take some ergonomics into account. Being big enough to fit comfortably in one hand and, when purchased, comes in a McNugget box. This continues Mickey D’s trend of going for the nostalgia points by reintroducing a toy that one might have seen in the late 90s, early 2000s.

Unfortunately, if you want one, you’ll have to head on over to China to get it. Currently there’s no word on whether or not this golden brown palm-sized video game will come to the states. Debuting in China may be a practice run for interest. Though just seeing it alone has us reaching for the screen, so we’ll probably reach for our wallets if they distribute in the US. A cute little time-waster that will tick those boxes of the glory days of childhood.

Though, like your little hand-helds when you were a kid, the toy might find itself shelved after a few months before completely forgotten about. Bit of the problem with novelty. It generally wears off after a bit. In the meantime, we wants it.
