Rhea Seehorn Joins Will Smith, Martin Lawrence for “Bad Boys 4”

Emmy-nominated actress Rhea Seehorn (“Better Call Saul”) will be joining the cast of “Bad Boys 4” (working title). She will be starring alongside Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, who will be reprising their roles as Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett. Seehorn’s role in the film is currently unknown.

This will be the 4th installment of the beloved buddy cop franchise. That started back in 1995 with the Michael Bay-directed “Bad Boys.” While plot details are also currently unknown, it is assumed that this will pick up where 2020’s “Bad Boys For Life” left off.  Which had Mike and Marcus taking over the Advanced Miami Metro Operations (A.M.M.O.).

“Bad Boys 4” will also see the return of Venessa Hudgens, as weapons expert Kelly. Paola Núnez and Alexander Ludwig are also reprising their roles as A.M.M.O. vets in “Bad Boys For Life.” But the talent doesn’t end with the legacy cast, Seehorn will be joined by Ioan Gruffudd and Eric Dane.

The film is currently shooting in Atlanta from a script written by Chris Bremner, who also penned “Bad Boys For Life.” With the directing team of Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah (“Batgirl“) also returning from the previous installment of the franchise. Considering all the returning talent, we hope this is a good sign that this team works well together.

Smith will produce alongside Jerry Bruckheimer and Doug Belgrad. Lawrence will act as an executive producer along with James Lassiter, Chad Oman, Mike Stenson, Barry Waldman, and Jon Mone.

There is currently no set release date for “Bad Boys 4.” But we’ll keep you posted on updates about this project as they develop.
