Can you imagine buying a home for the first time after scrimping and saving only to find you have an infestation of snakes? That’s what one Amber Hall experienced in Colorado and her faith in whether or not her home is safe and livable is gone.
“I’ve worked my whole life to purchase a home, so it was amazing,” Hall, a 42-year-old single mom, said. Until she made a slithering discovery. It wasn’t just one or two snakes, either. It was lots of them, living inside the drywall of her home and underneath it.

“I was unpacking in here and one of my dogs crouched down and started walking over to this corner really slow, so I was like, ‘What is it, buddy?’ I thought maybe it was a spider, whatever. I came over and as I came over I saw the snake slither up the wall,” Hall said. “I started watching and there were more and more and more snakes.”
So far, she’s spent over $1,000 trying to get the snakes removed from her home. The Snake Wrangler that caught some said that they looked to be around 2 and 3 years old and that there’s probably a lot more. He told Hall that he imagines they’ve been living there for a long time.
When the listing agent was contacted they did not return her calls or the calls of FOX31 who were investigating on Hall’s behalf. Currently Hall is still living out of boxes for the foreseeable future. “To be honest with you, I don’t know if I can even live here peacefully. I’m petrified,” she said.
If the listing agent had prior knowledge of the infestation and did not disclose that to Hall, that could put the agent and agency in a lot of hot water. Hopefully Hall can get them all removed and relocated so that her and her kids can live a happy life in their new forever home. We just want that to mean a snake free forever home for them in the future.
