“Jackass” star Bam Margera has turned himself in to police in Chester County, Pennsylvania after a warrant was issued for his arrest on Monday. The warrent stemmed from an altercation with his brother, Jesse Margera, on Sunday. It alleged that Bam “banged on and kicked his [Jesse’s] locked bedroom door.” Before he wrote a threatening note, urinated in the kitchen sink, screamed at Jesse, and struck him in the head. His brother also accused Bam of threatening to kill everyone in the house. Including their father, Phillip Margera Jr., and two other people.

After the altercation Bam fled into a wooded area and his whereabouts have been unknown ever since. He is charged with simple assault, harassment, and four counts of terroristic threats. He was arraigned and has already posted $50,000 bail, and his next court date is set for May 25th, 2023.
After his arraignment, Bam addressed and completely denied the allegations on his Instagram. “I just got out of the courthouse with my lawyers,” the post reads. “Everything went great and the false accusations of what my brother says are not true and he will be sued for defamation as well as being evicted from castle bam sooner than later. The reason this happened is because I read his phone saying he wants me back in California and he wants to find a way to 302 me. Fuck him.”

For context; a 302 is an involuntary admission to a psychiatric unit. Bam has had a long history of substance abuse and going in and out of rehab. He was arrested just last month in Burbank, California for public intoxication. While there is no determined cause for the alleged behavior on Bam’s part. Most are assuming drugs played a part in the matter. Earlier this year his former “Jackass” co-star Steve-O publicly asked Bam to “choose recovery.” Warning the former pro-skater that, “You’re dying, brother.” Steve-O is unfortunately speaking from experience with his own very public battle with sobriety. A battle he seems to have won.
“[Margera] was arraigned and entered his plea of not guilty,” Bam’s attorney Michael van der Veen said in a statement. “He was released on an unsecured bail. Mr. Margera enjoys all of his constitutional rights, including the presumption of innocence. The wild rumors regarding his behavior this week are absolutely false. He is in good health and in good spirits.”
