    Guitar Hero Slash Launches Horror Production Company

    Welcome to the jungle, we love horror movies. That’s the mentality for Slash. The iconic mop-haired, top-hatted Guns N Roses guitarist has launched a production company for horror films. Aptly named BerserkerGang, their slogan is “Films Forged in Fury.” Its creation is due to the rocker missing “when horror movies were actually terrifying.”

    “I’ve always been a huge horror fan, especially going back to the days when horror movies actually scared the hell out of you,” Slash said. I want to get into the heart of the producing business so I can try and make movies that I’d like to see.” The one advantage to the horror market being super-saturated is that you take notice when something new comes around.

    We’ll have to wait and see whether or not this production company knows what its doing. There are plenty of slashers and gore-fests out there that can terrify simply by virtue of excess. Making a truly terrifying film takes a bit of skill to pull off well without being corny or predictable. Luckily, Slash has some help on his side.

    The rock god has teamed up with Rue Morgue magazine founder and filmmaker Rodrigo Gudino, Raven Banner executives Michael Paszt, James Fler and Andrew T. Hunt, and Hangar 18 Media producer Pasha Patriki. And Slash is no stranger to two of those members. Apparently, he worked with Patriki and Raven Banner on “The Breach,” a horror film seen at Canada’s Fantasia Film Festival last year and set for commercial release this year.
