Ed Sheeran, Heinz Launch New Tingly Ted’s Hot Sauce Line

Heinz and singer/songwriter Ed Sheeran have teamed up to launch Tingly Ted’s, a new hot sauce line. The Kraft Heinz Company worked with the chart-topping musician to create “the ultimate” hot sauce that’s the perfect complement to any food. From french fries to falafels Tingly Ted’s should have you covered.

Tingly Ted’s will come in two flavors:

    • Tingly – a medium hot sauce that feels like a warm hug in a bottle. It is not too hot but just enough to get your tastebuds excited.
    • Xtra Tingly – is for anyone who wants to kick the heat up to the next level.

It’s no secret Sheeran is fanatical for sauces, especially Heinz. The company previously collaborated with the musician to make ‘Edchup,’ Sheeran’s very own Heinz tomato ketchup. The name Tingly Ted’s is even a reference to the singer’s childhood nickname.

“Before Tingly Ted’s I used a different hot sauce for every meal and for every dish,”  Sheeran explained. Considering how much he travels several small glass bottles can be anything from cumbersome to downright dangerous. Having one or two bottles in his suitcase is probably, significantly more manageable.  “But there wasn’t one hot sauce that goes with everything, whether you’re eating in the middle of the day or the middle of the night. I wanted a game-changing hot sauce that does the lot – the ketchup of hot sauces. It didn’t exist, so I decided to make my own. And that’s how Tingly Ted’s was born.”

So Sheeran sought out Heinz to help him develop a multifunctional hot sauce. “I had a year of whittling down the perfect flavours with a great mixing team, and we settled on two absolute belters,” he explains. He even battle-tested the new line himself. “I’ve had them on tour with me recently to try them with all sorts of meals, and there really isn’t anything they don’t go with (except bananas, don’t do that).”

The new sauce is available for pre-order here. It will begin shipping March 1st, and will hit store shelves later this year.
