If you are part of the convention scene, you’ve probably see a lot of really cool cosplays. There are a few however that make you squee with glee seeing one of your favorite things come to life. Studio Ghibli fans have favorite characters, some of which they spot at conventions.
Personally, I love when I see those huge Totoro builds (like Adam Savage‘s). You know, the ones that encompass the whole person and they install a GoPro in so that they can see where they’re going? Yeah, those.
Well, I have a NEW favorite Ghibli cosplay after seeing Von_Keck’s amazing work with Soot Sprites!
This cosplayer also happens to be a puppeteer, and he wore this particular costume to Dragon Con 2022. While they don’t have any videos of themselves in this costume on their Instagram, they do have a bunch of cool puppet pictures. Besides cosplay they also volunteer to put on puppet shows at their local library.
