Lionsgate’s 10th “Saw” Film Sees Return of Tobin Bell

The latest installment of the ever-popular “Saw” franchise will once again be a partnership between Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures. Fans will be THRILLED to know actor Tobin Bell will be returning for the 10th “Saw” film. Bell has portrayed John Kramer, aka Jigsaw, since the first film in 2004.

“The return of Bell to the franchise furthers Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures’ goal of a film that captures everything Saw fans love about the franchise, while also keeping them guessing with all-new traps and a new mystery to solve,” according to a press release. The studios are preparing to begin shooting later on this month.

Series veteran Kevin Greutert is already attached to direct. Greutert directed “Saw VI” and “Saw: The Final Chapter,” he also edited “Saw I” through “Saw V” and “Jigsaw.” Think we can safely say he and Bell know their way around a horror movie.

“What a thrill to be reuniting with Tobin. His performance as John Kramer is part of the magic that made this franchise a phenomenon and his character is an active part of this film,” franchise producers Mark Burg and Oren Koules said.

While Jigsaw was killed off in 2006 during “Saw III,” he has been in subsequent movies, mostly via flashbacks. But it seems in part 10, Kramer may be taking on a bit more screen time than he has in the last few films.

“Saw 10” is expected to hit theaters on October 27th, 2023. Stay tuned to Nerdbot for more developments on this project as they become available.
