Sometimes you’ll read something that just gives you a smile. Hope for the future through our children and their legacies that are unfolding right before our eyes. In this story a teenager from Woodland Hills, CA chose to work odd jobs all year to save up for a dream project. Which just happened to be turning their home carport into an epic haunted maze for Halloween.
7th grader Elliot Arnold, aged 12, created a fully immersive experience. He’s dubbed his a-mazing creation “The Deathly Attempt” and even his little sister Evelyn Arnold got involved. Elliot said he hopes others get inspired to do the same. As we get older sometimes fun things have to get put aside. But this kid is truly bringing back the spirit of Halloween right in his own neighborhood.

“We’re thinking, throw up a couple of cobwebs, you know, a little scary figure, sure, go ahead,” Zach Arnold, Elliot’s father, said. “The next thing we know, he has 3D schematics where he wants to design this multi-room haunted maze experience and I’m like, ‘this is kind of crazy but sure, go for it!”
“(Guests) will learn they are in a horror show where their house has been broken into,” Elliott explained to Los Angeles Daily News. “And after hours of being chased (they) will find themselves running into this office.” That’s where the scaring will take place.
If you want to visit the haunted house, Elliot and his friends will be running it during evening hours from Friday October 28th to Sunday October 30th. We’re assuming he’ll be out trick-or-treating with his friends on the 31st.
