Stay in the “Ghostbusters” Firehouse for 3 Nights!

You read that right! For three nights, a lucky group of friends will be able to spend the night in the “Ghostbusters” firehouse headquarters. The main difference? Location! The firehouse is in Portland, OR and not New York. But that doesn’t mean that any expense has been lost in making it every bit like the 1984 ghostly comedy. Okay and also, it’s a replica of the iconic Hook & Ladder Company 8 in New York.

The three-story firehouse- hopefully with a pole that still works! -comes equipped with all the favorite ghost-hunting toys. The Ecto-1, the hearse-turned bustin’ mobile, sits proudly in the garage. The fun doesn’t stop there. There’s an array of ghostly activities to engage in. Donning the famous jumpsuits and proton packs among them. And snacking on Stay-Puft brand marshmallows will keep you from getting peckish during your endeavors. Who knows, maybe you’ll even have to stop a god from taking over the world. Just be sure not to cross proton streams until then!

Allison Lowrie, Vacasa’s chief marketing officer, wants this to be an experience guests will never forget. “We’re dedicated to the details…It’s designed to be enjoyed by Ghostbusters superfans and travelers with a sense of ’80s nostalgia alike.” From what we can see in the photos, it’s a truly loving recreation.

Bookings for the stay will open on October 21st. It’s a first-come-first-served basis and only lasts from the 28th to the 31st. So acting fast would be prudent. In honor of the film’s release date, the price is $19.84 a night. And even if you can’t make it, a virtual tour of the firehouse will be available via Vacasa.
