Gallifrey One, the biggest “Doctor Who” convention on this side of the globe, has announced a very special guest for next year’s event. The 13th Doctor, Jodie Whittaker, will be in attendance!
Gallifrey One 33 1/3: Long Live the Revolution will be held February 17-19th at the Marriott Los Angeles Airport Hotel. Whittaker joins previously announced guests Colin Baker, Janet Fielding, Sophie Aldred, Wendy Padbury, Frazer Hines, and many others.
Whittaker has played the thirteenth Doctor on “Doctor Who” since 2017. She is the first woman in the title role, and debuted in the story “Twice Upon a Time.” She was proceeded by 12th Doctor, Peter Capaldi. Alongside supporting cast members Bradley Walsh, Mandip Gill, Tosin Cole and John Bishop, the 13th Doctor has had three seasons and three specials, to very positive reviews and media fanfare. Her final episode, “The Power of the Doctor,” will air later this month.
The next actor to take on the mantle of The Doctor will be Ncuti Gatwa, and his debut will come when the next season starts, also sometime in October.
