Original Misfits Band will Play Las Vegas on New Years Eve

The Original Misfits have announced they will play a New Year’s Eve concert in Las Vegas, Nevada. The show will be held at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, and also feature fellow iconic punk bands Tiger Army and Circle Jerks.

The Misfits’ line-up will consist of original front man Glenn Danzig, and original bassist Jerry Only. They will be playing with Only’s brother/the band’s 3rd guitarist Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein, with Slayer’s Dave Lombardo on drums.

This will be the 3rd and final show of the band’s 2022 reunion tour. Other stops included headlining Riot Fest in Chicago. They will also play a Halloween gig with Alice Cooper and The Distillers on October 29th 2022 at the Dos Equis Pavilion in Dallas, Texas.

The Original Misfit’s only reunited in 2016 after Danzig and Only settled their longtime feud that caused major line-up changes for the band over the years. Since then they have been selective with where they perform, Riot Fest was only their 15th show in 6 years. A tour schedule that light is rare for any punk band since the genre is known for band’s constantly touring due to its DIY roots.

These sparse performances seem to be the direction the band is heading though. In May of this year Danzig spoke about the upcoming shows and said “It’s not really much of a tour. It’s 10 shows. I don’t think I’m going to tour anymore. I’m just going to fly out to a show here or there. I’ll maybe be down to do some one-offs. But I just don’t see myself getting on a tour bus anymore.”

The Original Misfits, Tiger Army, and Circle Jerks will perform on December 31st at 7pm. Ticket prices start at $129.75 and can be purchased here. The artist pre-sale begins October 5th. General sales will begin at 10am local time Friday, October 7th.
