“American Horror Story” Season 11 Comes to FX This Fall

FX Chairman John Landgraf has revealed season 11 of “American Horror Story“ is coming in 2022. He stated this at the Television Critics Association’s summer press tour, during his Q&A on August 2nd.

Like the past 10 seasons of “American Horror Story,” this one’s name, cast, and plotline are still completely unknown. But we have some small hints from an interview Landgraf did back in February. “What I can tell you is that the concept for Season 11 is one story. It actually takes place in different timelines but it’s one subject, one story, with a beginning, middle and an end, like many of the prior stories,” Landgraf told The Wrap. “I actually really like this idea too, I think it’s really cool.”

Landgraf is specifying it will be one story due to the way season 10 or “American Horror Story: Double Feature” was structured. Season 10 ended in October of 2021, and was one season split up into two totally different stories.

The first story, “Red Tide,” focused on Finn Wittrock and Lily Rabe who play a couple in Cape Cod that are being terrorized by frightening beings. These beings, played by Frances Conroy and Evan Peters, eventually offer them a mysterious pill that could change their lives forever, for better or worse.

The second story, “Death Valley,” is an alien story that spans decades and stars Sarah Paulson as Mamie Eisenhower. And while “Red Tide” gathered a positive reaction, “Death Valley” was pretty universally disliked by critics and fans.

While we don’t know who will be returning yet, series regulars include Paulson, Kathy Bates, Billie Lourd, Denis O’Hare, Leslie Grossman, Cody Fern, and Emma Roberts. So any of them could possibly be returning.

Though Paulson recently did an interview with Variety where she said “It’s not that I’m not open to it. I’m always open to it, but I feel like I’ve been doing it for a long time, and people might start getting sick of me in that world. Let someone else scream and run and cry for a second. Other people can do that too!”

So, expect to see “American Horror Story” season 11 sometime this fall on FX. Stay tuned to Nerdbot for updates on this and other news.
