Sony’s upcoming Spider-Man-adjacent film “Madame Web” just caught another star in it’s web. Adam Scott will be joining Dakota Johnson (“50 Shades of Grey,” “Susperia“) in the latest installation of Sony’s Spider-verse. While his role in the film has not yet been announced, his recent Emmy-nominated performance in “Severance” gives us hope that he’ll keep knocking it out of the park.
Beyond Johnson and Scott, the cast includes Sydney Sweeney, Celeste O’Connor, Isabela Merced, Emma Roberts, and Tahar Rahim. Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless have taken on the script originally written by Kerem Sanga, and S.J. Clarkson will direct.
With a cast and crew who have already shown that they can handle the stranger side of comics, Scott’s addition shows promise. We don’t think it will be able to replicate Spider-Man: No Way Home‘s runaway success, but it will probably probably do better than that…other film.
