While “Sweet Tooth” wasn’t a hit with all audiences, there is a strong fan base for it. Season 1 left off on a bit of a cliffhanger as Sweet Tooth and his new friends are now locked up with the bad guys. During Geeked Week Day One, Netflix revealed production is wrapped on season 2.
The streaming giant has promised higher stakes, bigger battles, and meaner bad guys.
Children born during a mysterious outbreak had animal features. Most of them were killed but a few others survived. “Sweet Tooth” tells the story of Gus, who’s been protected by people around him since he was born. On a dangerous adventure in a post-apocalyptic world he’s been trying to survive and find a place he can rest. Now he’s locked away and has to figure things out for himself. Season 2 will confront even bigger problems for Gus as he’s now in the hands of the enemy.
“Sweet Tooth” stars Christian Convery, Nonso Anozie, Adeel Akhtar, Stefania LaVie Owen, Aliza Vellani, Naledi Murray, Neil Sandilands and many more. It is based on a comic of the same name from Jeff Lamire. The Netflix series was developed by Jim Mickle.
