Another fan-favorite actor is making his way to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. John Stamos has been tapped to play Iron Man, aka Tony Stark, on “Spidey and His Amazing Friends.” The show first premiered on Disney Junior in 2021, and follows Spider-persons Peter Parker, Miles Morales, and Gwen Stacy.
As we know, Spider-Man and Iron Man / Tony Stark have a sort of father son/relationship that’s built up through the live-action films. Knowing the kind of connection they have, we’re excited to see if Stamos will be featured in more episodes in future seasons.
Reportedly, season 2 will see Electro trying to drain all the power from the city. The team of spider-persons must band together with their amazing friends to try to restore electricity using a glowing web formula.
Series composer Patrick Stump of band Fall Out Boy has even written a new song for the season- “Glow Webs Glow.”
Other characters that will debut in season 2 are Ant-Man (Sean Giambrone), Wasp (Maya Tuttle), Reptil (Hoku Ramirez), Black Cat (Jaiden Klein), Sandman (Tom Wilson) and Electro (Stephanie Lemelin).
Season 2 of “Spidey and His Amazing Friends” will debut in August on Disney Junior. The first season of the show can be streamed on Disney+ right now.
