If you’ve had a bowl of Lucky Charms and fallen ill recently , you’re not the only one. Thanks to numerous reports on website iwaspoisoned, there is now an FDA investigation looking into the mysterious sickness.
Usually with Lucky Charms, the most it will do is turn your poop green from all the food coloring. But with so many customer complaints about being ill for days after eating just one bowl, there could be something really wrong with the cereal.
Most of the reports– numbering at over 3,000- have been made in the last few weeks. Common symptoms are stomach pains, diarrhea and/or vomiting, fatigue, fever, and nausea. They are coming in from all across the states, Indiana, Texas, Maryland, North Carolina and more.
General Mills has said that they encourage customers to come to them with information regarding this illness stemming from Lucky Charms. The FDA says they “take seriously any reports of possible adulteration of a food that may also cause illnesses or injury.”
So far, Lucky Charms has not been officially linked to the illness per the investigation.
