The mini series event no one (except me) wanted is almost here. Peacock’s take on the real life “Tiger King” feud between Carole Baskin and Joe Exotic, “Joe vs. Carole,” stars two of my personal favorites. John Cameron Mitchell, who brought the iconic “Hedwig and the Angry Inch” to life, stars as Exotic. Kate McKinnon, peerless comedic talent across 9 seasons of “Saturday Night Live,” stars as Baskin.

The rest of the cast is stacked as well. Heavy hitters like Kyle MacLachlan (“Dune“), William Fichtner, and Dean Winters, fill out this real life cast of characters.

Synopsis:
“JOE vs CAROLE is a scripted adaptation of the 2020 Wondery podcast ‘Joe Exotic: Tiger King,’ hosted and reported by Robert Moor. The limited series will center on Carole Baskin, a big cat enthusiast, who learns that fellow exotic animal lover Joe Exotic Schreibvogel is breeding and using his big cats for profit. She sets out to shut down his venture, inciting a quickly escalating rivalry. But Carole has a checkered past of her own and when the claws come out, Joe will stop at nothing to expose what he sees as her hypocrisy. The results prove dangerous.”
