Daily “Dune”: 4K of Denis Villeneuve’s Spicy Film Arrives in January

As you’ll no doubt know, “Dune” was one of our most anticipated films of this year. We were delighted that it hit almost all the notes we needed it to. We were overjoyed with the world-building and production design. And, of course, thrilled to see Part Two get greenlit.

But, if you weren’t aware, “Dune” (2021) is leaving HBO Max today. David Lynch‘s will still be there, but, if you want to see Timotheé Chalamet and co from the comfort of your own home, today will be the last day.

Well, until December 3rd, when it’ll be available for early Premium Digital Ownership (for $29.99) and for 48-hour rental via PVOD (for $24.99 SRP) on participating digital platforms.

Okay AND until the DVD/Blu-Ray/4k hits on January 11th! You can pre-order on Amazon here.

Curious about what we’ll be getting on that 4K physical release?

    The Royal Houses
    Filmbooks: House Atreides
    Filmbooks: House Harkonnen
    Filmbooks: The Fremen
    Filmbooks: The Spice Melange
    Inside Dune: The Training Room
    Inside Dune: The Spice Harvester
    Inside Dune: The Sardaukar Battle
    Building the Ancient Future
    My Desert, My Dune
    Constructing the Ornithopters
    Designing the Sandworm
    Beware the Baron
    Wardrobe from Another World
    A New Soundscape

The DVD will only have “The Royal Houses” as a special feature, so Blu-Ray/4K is the way to go.

You can pre-order the physical release on Amazon here! We also highly suggest picking up the Lynch version too.

Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.
