Some kids are so kind that they want permission to do anything. Even sleep. And even as an adult sometimes it’s just nice to hear those words from your partner. “It’s ok, you can sleep.” I don’t know why but when that happens you just always tend to sleep more soundly and feel safer.
One person on Reddit posted a wholesome moment with a father and son who was barely hanging on in the car. He had been closing his eyes off and on and having a hard time succumbing to the sleep that he so desperately wanted. And when dad said those magical words, “it’s ok, go to sleep.” It was like the light went off. One user even said that they could hear the windows shut down music play.
