Remember how excited we all were when that first tease of Peter Jackson‘s The Beatles film hit? Because seriously, it sure looks like something special. The chatter this morning from the House of Mouse’s streaming service is that “The Beatles: Get Back” will be even bigger than we originally thought!

Clocking in at 6 hours, the docu will get released over Thanksgiving weekend 2021 in three installments.

Executive Chairman, Chairman of the Board for The Walt Disney Company Bob Iger said of the news:

“As a huge Beatles fan myself, I am absolutely thrilled that Disney+ will be the home for this extraordinary documentary series by the legendary filmmaker Peter Jackson. This phenomenal collection of never-before-seen footage offers an unprecedented look at the close camaraderie, genius songwriting, and indelible impact of one of the most iconic and culturally influential bands of all time, and we can’t wait to share The Beatles: Get Back with fans around the world.”

So, gather round the table for this 3 night release. “The Beatles: Get Back” will premiere on Thursday November 25th, and continue throughout the 26th and 27th, 2021 exclusively on Disney+.

Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.
