Danny Elfman’s “The Nightmare Before Christmas” Live Returning!

Think of this news as more evidence of nature healing itself. Perhaps one of our favorite spooky season things in Los Angeles is returning in 2021, and we couldn’t be happier! Danny Elfman, rock star, musician, composer and performer, is bringing the live “The Nightmare Before Christmas” concert experience back!

Announced this morning, the event is currently slated October 29th, 2021 at the Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles.

Elfman himself hasn’t been a part of the holiday tradition since 2018’s three-day event at the Hollywood Bowl. He was expected to return for the 2020 show, but. You know. *waves arms around*

“Jack Is Back!” Elfman said in a statement. “I was so sorry to have missed last Halloween. (We all know why). BUT — I’m not skipping this year. Jack wants to get back on stage. I can’t wait to see you all.”

Elfman is currently hard at work on his score for the upcoming Marvel Studios film “Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness” from director Sam Raimi. Oh, and there’s also Danny’s new album Big Mess coming on June 11th 2021.

Tickets for this event are going on sale Friday, May 14th at 10:00am (PDT) via Ticketmaster. Expect those to run from $39.50-$179.50.

Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.
