    Pedro Pascal to Star as Joel in HBO’s “The Last of Us”

    We are so very pleased to report that Pedro Pascal, star of “The Mandalorian,” and “Wonder Woman 1984” has been tapped to play the lead of Joel in the upcoming HBO series “The Last of Us.“

    Earlier today, we shared the breaking news that fellow “Game of Thrones” alum Bella Ramsey has been cast to play the other leading role, Ellie.

    The role of Joel was performed by Troy Baker throughout the game series.

    What we know about the series so far is that Craig Mazin (creator of hit HBO limited series “Chernobyl”) will write and executive produce, along with the writer and creative director of “The Last of Us” video games, Neil Druckmann.

    HBO greenlit the series, based on the pair of video games from Naughty Dog, back in November of 2020.

    We will of course let you know what else we hear about casting for this and other series.
