We knew it was highly likely for even more of Warner Bros. Pictures proposed release schedule to change as the pandemic rages ever onward. It would appear the next title to make a big leap on the schedule is moving forward rather than back, though. And this means the much-anticipated “Godzilla vs. Kong” will be bowing a full two months early.
According to the usual sources, the clash of titans will be releasing theatrically (we’re not sure WHERE exactly) and on HBO Max on March 26th 2021, rather than May 21st 2021.
And no, there still hasn’t been a trailer for the film yet.
“Legends collide as Godzilla and Kong, the two most powerful forces of nature, clash in a spectacular battle for the ages. As a squadron embarks on a perilous mission into fantastic uncharted terrain, unearthing clues to the Titans’ very origins and mankind’s survival, a conspiracy threatens to wipe the creatures, both good and bad, from the face of the earth forever.“
Another additional move was to push “The Sopranos” prequel film “The Many Saints of Newark” from March 12th 2021 to September 24th 2021, also on HBO Max.
At present, Denis Villeneuve‘s “Dune” is stubbornly maintaining it’s hold on October 1st, 2021.
We will of course let you know what else we hear about more movies. And a damn trailer for “Godzilla vs. Kong,” which we have to assume is coming soon.
