Monster Hunter Movie Crossover Event Coming to “Monster Hunter World: Iceborne”

It’s not over yet! In October, “Monster Hunter World: Iceborne” received its final update. However, that update isn’t so final after all. Capcom has announced that a crossover event for the Monster Hunter movie is coming to Iceborne on December 3.

The #MonsterHunterMovie (@Monster_Hunter) crossover comes to #Iceborne on Dec 4th! Travel to the New World and play as Artemis (voiced by @MillaJovovich) in two special quests with unique rewards! https://t.co/9VQUnQcraJ pic.twitter.com/C7CToFYGmG

During the event, players will see Captain Artemis (Milla Jovovich) arrive in the game. There are two special event quests that you can complete for this crossover. First, you will head out to the Wildspire Waste alongside Artemis to slay a Black Diablos. Then, you will hunt a Rathalos alongside her. Completing both quests while the event is live will allow you to unlock the Captain Artemis layered armor set. Putting this armor on will make you look just like Captain Artemis.

The event officially begins December 3 at 4 PM PT/ 7 PM ET. However, that’s not all you can grab. Leading up to the event, make sure to log onto Monster Hunter each day beginning November 26. Doing so will give you some free items like 30 Dust of Life, 10 Golden Eggs and various decorations. It’s a nice little surprise event for players who aren’t quite ready to let go of the title. Plus, it will allow you to stock up on your items so you can continue to play with your friends for as long as you like.

“Monster Hunter World: Iceborne” may be reaching the end of its lifecycle, but the future is bright for the franchise. In addition to the movie, “Monster Hunter Rise” is coming to Switch in March. “Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin” will also be arriving sometime next summer.
