Thanos Isn’t the Only Giant Purple Thing Scarlet Witch Deals With

Remember when talking about superhero’s….intimate parts….was a throwaway line in Kevin Smith‘s “Mallrats?” It was funny because it’s true- something we ourselves have encountered [and ok, fine- started] conversations and actual arguments about for years. And, as it turns out, this is something Paul Bettany, who plays Vision for Marvel Studios, really wants fans to know about.

As per the source material comics, we know that Wanda, the Scarlet Witch, (played in the MCU by Elizabeth Olsen) is able to get pregnant by Vision, and eventually gives birth to twin sons Wiccan and Speed. So, obviously, Vision has plumbing of some sort to use here.

Appearing in the upcoming live-action “Avengers” spinoff tv series “WandaVision” as his same purple-hued android, Bettany recently ‘confirmed’ a longstanding Marvel Comics’ fan belief that Vision’s…reproductive system….can indeed change its’ purple density.

In a recent stop by Stir Crazy with Josh Horowitz (Happy, Sad, Confused Podcast), Bettany answered a question about this very thing, saying:

“Whether he does or doesn’t [have sex], Vision can change his density- so there’s that.“

Following that up, Horowitz directly asked Bettany what color Vision’s penis is. Because of COURSE he did. Bettany responded simply: “He’s purple.”

You can watch the entire interview below.

“WandaVision” is set to hit Disney+ on January 15th, 2021.

Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.
