Monkeys are highly intelligent, and have extremely cunning personalities. Zackrydz Rodzi, a student in Malaysia, experienced this for himself when he found several monkey selfies and videos on his phone.
Rodzi said that when he woke up on Saturday, his phone was missing from his bedroom. The phone’s case was under the bed, and there were no indications of a robbery. His phone was retrieved a day after he noticed its disappearance.
As you can see in his now viral tweet, the culprit took some selfies.
Zackrydz Rodzi is from Batu Pahat in the southern state of Johor, studying his final year of computer science.
When it came to finding the phone, the search took off when his dad saw a monkey in the jungle behind the house. They used his brother’s phone to call it and discovered it covered in mud near a palm tree.
“My uncle was joking that maybe the monkey took some selfies with the phone…so when I checked my phone picture gallery, I was shocked. The Suspect’s face was plastered on the screen. It was hilarious.”
Ever since he shared the photos and videos on twitter, they’ve been spread and shared thousands of times.
“Something that you might see once in a century,” Rodzi described in a tweet.
“My house is now in a total lockdown,” Rodzi joked, saying that he didn’t want an encore of the incident.
