Hosted by Robin Roberts, this special features tributes from celebrities, political figures, and fans across the world, special words from those who starred alongside him and knew Boseman best, and shines a light on the medical condition he privately battled.”
Official description from Disney+
The tribute is hosted by Robin Roberts, and runs 42 minutes long.
Chadwick Boseman passed away on August 28th at the age of 43. He had been secretly battling colon cancer for the last 4 years. He kept it a secret from Marvel and Disney with hopes that he would recover. The whole world was shocked when news of his death arose.
In Boseman’s hometown of Anderson, South Carolina, there is a petition to replace a confederate statue with the “Black Panther” star. It would honor the good he’s done as well as inspire the new generation of young black people.
