We are very excited to share the first trailer for “Death on The Nile,” sequel to Kenneth Branagh‘s masterful film adaptation of “Murder on The Orient Express.” Also, can we just say they get so many extra bonus points for using Depeche Mode’s “Policy of Truth,” because YES.
You can watch the trailer here, or scroll down.
Belgian sleuth Hercule Poirot’s Egyptian vacation aboard a glamorous river steamer turns into a terrifying search for a murderer when a picture-perfect couple’s idyllic honeymoon is tragically cut short. Set against an epic landscape of sweeping desert vistas and the majestic Giza pyramids, this tale of unbridled passion and incapacitating jealousy features a cosmopolitan group of impeccably dressed travelers, and enough wicked twists and turns to leave audiences guessing until the final, shocking denouement. “Death on the Nile” reunites the filmmaking team behind 2017’s global hit “Murder on the Orient Express.”
Much like the previous Hercule Poirot film (which Branagh directed and also stars in), the cast list is absolutely incredible.
Tom Bateman will be reprising the role of Bouc, Annette Bening (Captain Marvel), Russell Brand (Ballers), Ali Fazal (Victoria & Abdul), Dawn French (French and Saunders), Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman 1984), Armie Hammer (Call Me by Your Name), Rose Leslie (Game of Thrones), Emma Mackey (Sex Education), Sophie Okonedo (The Secret Life of Bees), Jennifer Saunders (Absolutely Fabulous) and Letitia Wright (Black Panther), just to name a few.
“Death on The Nile” is set to hit theaters (theoretically) on October 23rd, 2020.
