So, it’s highly unlikely we’ll be getting any actual theatrical releases dropped in 2020. Walt Disney Pictures noticed this, and decided to officially move everything. Again.

As of 10 minutes ago, “The New Mutants” still is optimistically slated for August 28th (according to the artwork shown during their SDCC At Home panel).

Welcome New Mutants, old mutants, and all mutants in between! The #NewMutantsComicConAtHome panel is about to kick-off. Join @Ira and the cast of @NewMutantsFilm for some exclusive looks and surprises! Tune in here! https://t.co/3V8OkeLpVY

BUT, they’ve also officially removed “Mulan” from the schedule, so there is no current release date for it.

All of the untitled “Star Wars” films have been moved back a year:

    #1: previously dated 12/16/22 moves to 12/22/23
    #2: previously dated 12/20/24 moves to 12/19/25
#3: previously dated on 12/18/26 moves to 12/17/27

All of the “Avatar” sequel films have also been moved:

AVATAR 2 previously dated on 12/17/21 moves to 12/16/22
AVATAR 3 previously dated on 12/22/23 moves to 12/20/24
AVATAR 4 previously dated on 12/19/25 moves to 12/18/26
AVATAR 5 previously dated on 12/17/27 moves to 12/22/28

We’re also expecting all the Marvel Studios titles to be pushed back as well. We’ll let you know when we hear confirmations about those.

Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.
