Well, traveling from one city to another is currently an impossible situation but there are countless enticing travel destinations that one should visit. Atlantic City is one of them. Beaches and Atlantic City casinos are among the main attraction of this city from New Jersey, east coast of the USA. But there are many more things to see in this city that add more reasons to visit Atlantic City once in life.

    Boardwalk and Beaches

No matter what time of year, Atlantic City is always worth a trip – special highlights are of course the beautiful beaches and the legendary boardwalk, the extensive beach promenade. Early risers can enjoy a bike ride along the coast, in the evening a picturesque sunset invites you to a romantic walk along the water and during the day sunbathing, swimming and water sports along the approximately eleven kilometers long beaches are popular activities.

The boardwalk has a total length of six and a half kilometers with an abundance of shops, cafes, street artists, rides, and more. In addition to a small, electric tram that runs on the boardwalk at regular intervals, you can also be driven on the promenade in one of the legendary “Rolling Chairs.”

    Cultural Places and Historical Attractions

Visitors can discover a wealth of historical and cultural architecture along the boardwalk, for example, the iconic Boardwalk Hall. The building from the time of prohibition inspires with an Art Deco facade and an impressive arched roof. The largest musical instrument in the world and the oldest still-functioning pipe organ are also located in the Boardwalk Hall.

In the summer season between May and September, guests can look forward to free concerts and tours. The historic Gardner’s Basin has blossomed from a past as a shelter for alcohol smugglers and the center of commercial fishing to one of the most beautiful corners of Atlantic City. The Atlantic City Aquarium is also located here. Also, worth a visit is the historic Absecon Lighthouse, Lucy – the world’s largest elephant, Atlantic City Historical Museum, and many more things including the New Jersey Korean War Memorial in Brighton Park

    Shopping

One of the manyreasons to visit Atlantic Cityis shopping and that is why it is best to leave a little more space in your suitcase – the range of shops is huge and there is no shopping tax on clothes and shoes in New Jersey – the perfect prerequisite for finding a bargain or two. A visit to “The Walk”, a three-block area in the middle of the city, in which the Tanger Outlets are located, with more than 100 brand stores which invite you to stroll and spend money here. It is a short walk from the boardwalk. Some of the city’s best shopping is easily accessible from the promenade. Whether you’re looking for classic souvenirs or just a casual thing for you, you will get everything here.

    Special Treat for Players

This city from New Jersey is known above all as a player’s paradise. Combined with its attractive location directly on the sea, they are the ideal prerequisite for a first-class travel destination. Each casino in the city attracts its guests with its style, character, and ambiance. The casinos take the gaming experience to a new level. Here you will find all the gambling variations your heart desires.

Besides, some of the major casino hotels are within walking distance of the shopping centers so profits can be made right away. Shuttle buses run from/to Atlantic City several times a day from New York and Philadelphia, so that a day or weekend trip is also easily possible.

    For Enthusiasts and Night Owls

The culinary offerings in Atlantic City are among the best on the east coast of the USA. Here you will find the right dish for every taste and every budget. The annual Restaurant Week in March is particularly interesting for gourmets, where special menus are offered in numerous restaurants at affordable prices. In the wider region around Atlantic City in southern New Jersey, several local wineries, breweries, and distilleries have come together and offer the opportunity to taste regional wines, beers, and spirits on the Wine and Ale Trail.
