Stephanie Beatriz of “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” Wants to be Our Next Batwoman

Now that we know Ruby Rose has dropped out of playing “Batwoman,” the question on all of our minds is who will they cast next. The CW has a huge role to fill for the show and if they cast right it may get people to watch that opted out of the first season. Stephanie Beatriz who plays Rosa Diaz on “Brooklyn Nine Nine” has now thrown her hat into the ring. She’s dropped a couple of hints on twitter that she wants the role.

What’s more is that she’s already got the qualifications to take over the role. Her role as badass Rosa Diaz has shown us that she’s got the action down. Plus she’s incredibly funny and would make the jokes written in the show a lot less awkward than Ruby Rose did. Sorry Ruby.

The CW has stated that they would like to keep the role with a person who identifies as LGBT and lucky for them Stephanie Beatriz is. She came out publicly as bi-sexual in 2016. Plus she’s got a lot of experience acting that out onscreen with her character in “Brooklyn Nine-Nine.” After she came out they worked in her coming out to her parents in season 5 of the show.

Previously she also was vying for the role as She-Hulk which we would still love to see her cast as. But we still haven’t heard anything about casting on that front. All we know is that somewhere along the line they were asking for an “Allison Brie” type. And if they did end up casting Beatriz she could play both She-Hulk and Batwoman if the filming schedules didn’t conflict. It wouldn’t be the first time someone played a role in both the DCEU and the MCU.

What do you think of her playing Batwoman? Tell us in the comments!
