Space Is…Hard in Trailer for Netflix “Space Force” Series

We are REALLY looking forward to Netflix’s upcoming series “Space Force.” No flowery words, no clever jokes- it just seems like the perfect mix of dry, witty humor and complete understanding of how stupid the “real” Space Force is.

    “Space is…hard.”

A brand new, full-length trailer for the Steve Carrell-led show just hit this morning, along with an official synopsis and tie-in podcast announcement (both of which you can read below the trailer).

    https://youtu.be/l4mY2asIjWk

About “SPACE FORCE“: A decorated pilot with dreams of running the Air Force, four-star general Mark R. Naird (Steve Carell) is thrown for a loop when he finds himself tapped to lead the newly formed sixth branch of the US Armed Forces: Space Force. Skeptical but dedicated, Mark uproots his family and moves to a remote base in Colorado where he and a colorful team of scientists and “Spacemen” are tasked by the White House with getting American boots on the moon (again) in a hurry and achieving total space dominance. From co-creators Carell and Greg Daniels (“The Office“), “SPACE FORCE” is a new kind of workplace comedy, where the stakes are sky high and the ambitions even higher. John Malkovich, Diana Silvers, Tawny Newsome, Ben Schwartz also star, alongside co-stars Lisa Kudrow, Jimmy O. Yang, Noah Emmerich, Alex Sparrow and Don Lake. Howard Klein/3Arts (“The Office“) serves as executive producer, with Daniels as showrunner.

Launching the same day as the series, “Inside Joke: Space Force Podcast”- space is hard, but this podcast makes it look easy. Join host and star Jimmy O. Yang starting May 29th as he welcomes the cast and crew behind the new Netflix series Space Force for a 10-part podcast exploring the stories behind the show. New episodes Mondays and Thursdays each week, with guests like Steve Carell, Greg Daniels, John Malkovich, Ben Schwartz, Tawny Newsome, Diana Silvers and many more. You’ll be able to list to Inside Joke: Space Force podcast here.

From the crew who brought you “The Office,” “Space Force” premieres May 29th only on Netflix.

Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.
