Hafthor Bjornsson World’s Strongest Man in 2018 has just set a new record for most amount deadlifted. He performed the feat on a live stream hosted on ESPN Saturday morning. He was worried that not having a live audience would effect his performance but from the results he did fine without one. He successfully deadlifted 1,104 lbs breaking the record which was previously held by Eddie Hall and set at 1,102 lb 4.9 oz.
He posted to his Instagram later that day:
“I have no words. What an amazing day, one I will remember for the rest of my life. I said I was coming for it and once I set my mind on something I’m a dog with a bone. Want to give a huge shoutout to my family, friends, coaches, fans, sponsors and haters, all of whom helped this lift be possible.
