19 Crimes Brings Us Snoop Dogg Wine: Snoop Cali Red

Snoop Dogg is most widely known for his music career, but the man’s also dipped his fingers in several other notable pools. He has headlined an environmental awareness festival, collaborated with creative queen, Martha Stewart, and even created the Gangster Gaming League, and streams video games on Twitch. This summer he’s adding to his long list of accomplishments. The rapper is teaming up with 19 Crimes to release his own blend of Snoop Dogg wine: Snoop Cali Red.

19 Crimes is a wine brand under Australian company, Treasury Wine Estates. Each bottle of wine on the label features a convict who was shipped off to Australia by Queen Victoria. The company also utilizes the app Living Wine Labels. The app allows you to point your phone at the bottle of wine and watch and listen to the convict tell their story. (Getting us one step closer to moving and talking photographs a la Harry Potter!) Though it’s unsure if the Snoop Dogg wine label will also appear on the app.

According to Food&Wine, the red blend Snoop Dogg wine will feature 65% Petite Syrah, 30% Zinfandel, and 5% Merlot. If you’re not a wine drinker, this might not mean much of anything to you — even if you do drink wine, it might not mean anything.

But the absolute best part of this wine? The price! Snoop Cali Red will come in at $12 per bottle. That might seem like a cheap buy, but flavor is not sacrificed for cost. 19 Crimes wines are delightful across the board. There’s no reason to expect less with this new blend. Rest assured that this Snoop Dogg wine will be a great addition to any charcuterie board you might be indulging in on movie night.
