If you have been waiting patiently for the day when “Avatar: The Last Airbender” would return to Netflix the wait is finally over. Netflix announced today that they would be releasing all three seasons of the original cartoon! That means Earth, Water, & Fire you will be able to binge it all starting May 15th!

Avatar the Last Airbender is a story about Aang who goes into hiding while training to become the next Avatar. It’s too much pressure for a boy of his age. Unfortunately for the world the Fire Nation chooses then to start attacking the other nations. When he comes out of his bubble he meets Katara and Sokka who go with him on a journey to set things right again.

It is one of the best series you can watch and highly recommended. It first aired on Nickelodeon in 2005 and wrapped up in 2008. It was a hit show and created a comic line and a spin off series “Legend of Korra”.

Netflix is also working on a live action adaptation of the show to be truer to the original cartoon. There was a live action film… but no one wants to talk about that. Let’s just be excited to have “Avatar: The Last Airbender” easily at our disposal. And the best news is that since it recently came out on Blu-ray it’s probably the cleanest copy we’re ever going to be able to stream.
