I know that all us Harry Potter fan has always imagined ourselves at Hogwarts. We could see ourselves getting lost moving across the magical staircases, having conversations with the pictures and putting spells on our friends. But did you know, this isn’t just a dream? Though you can’t actually go to Hogwarts, you can take the course online!

Hogwarts is Here is an online social network created for Potterheads across the world. This social network gives the user the ability to take various online courses and is also an RPG(role-playing game). Like all students, you start off as a first-year and you learn basic spells and as you progress you will learn more advanced spells and magic. You can also work to get the title of Head Girl or Head Boy.

    Here is how it works:

Unlike in the books, the sorting hat does not choose your house, you do! Once you pick your house, you can hang out with other students from the same house in the common room. Be aware, Griffindor is the most popular house, with Ravenclaw in second. Now that you are enrolled, you can sign up for classes and then purchase textbooks from Flourish and Blotts. In order to win house point you must pass your courses.

For every course, there are nine-lesson and as a heads up, there is lots of reading to do. If you are a true Potterhead, you wouldn’t mind because you have read all 7 books at least 5 times. These courses are like a real course, you need to take quizzes, write essays and take exams. You can take Potions, Charms, Transfiguration, Astronomy, History of Magic, Defense Against the Dark Arts, and Herbology.

If you are hoping to become a Head Boy or Head Girl, you must work hard to earn this title. The professor in every course nominates two students for this role.

You must complete all the Year-One course to move on to the next years. You can finish all seven years and graduate from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

If you aren’t in the mood to take courses, do not fear you can skip the course and just focus on the RPG portion, by joining or creating role-playing groups. Currently, the role-playing groups partake in games which place in The Great Hall, on the Quidditch field, and in common rooms.
